just get GN3 and study it page by page!

All you have to do is get a bit of revision in and don't panic, my tutor told me the best thing he said the course is a lot harder than the test. He also said that only 20% of people pass it first time. If i can pass anyone can, i dont test hardly ever and am not a full qualified sparky. This is a issue i hope to resolve soon though. Get Guidence note 3 and go through your onsite guide, if you can keep the FULL regs book out of it, it isn't as daunting.
