Hello everyone.

I am a complete novice regarding electrical problems I can just about fit a plug.

I am having trouble with my phone I hear interference on the line.

I live in a farm cottage one of two that's like a semi. My one is private and the other one is owned by the farm. I am about 100 yards from the main farm buildings.
I get my electricity from Hydro Electric but I was talking to my neighbour who is a farm worker and they get theirs from the farm supply.
Now I get interference on my phone and my broadband internet is sometimes a bit iffy as well and I'm trying to figure out why.

Could farm machinery operating from the workshops interfere with my electricity supply even though it's going to the adjoining cottage ?

If I turn on an AM radio and tune off station and turn up the volume I can hear a click every second or so.

There are also electric fences and piggies nearby.

What can I do as BT aren't really interested.
Can I fit my own filters to alleviate the problem?

Many thanks.
