I just bought a Muller FS 60.18 time switch. It's to control a 3400W storage heater rated 16 amps. It comes with a wiring diagram but, it doesn't explain in laymans terms where the wires go.
Can anyone please tell me, in simple terms, where live, neutral and earth from the supply go, and live, neutral and earth from the heater go.
I've attached this image of the diagram.

Thanks[attachment=0:4436e]clip_image002.jpg[/attachment:4436e]

Hi there,

I dont know if you have sorted this problem but i will atempt to.

Providing this timeswitch is rated for the load you want to connect across it it should be as follows.

The part that has the M in a circle (term 4&5) is the time clock motor (connect live and neutral to this), link the live supply across to the terminal marked 3, the neutal from the heater can be connected into the other terminal on the motor circuit.
The live from the heater will go into terminal 1 (if you want it to switch on with the time clock and terminal 2 if you want it to turn off on the time clock.

The earths will need to go into a separate terminal which is usually provided on the base.

But please as i have stated make sure that the timeclock is rated high enough.
