Looking for framing my stud finder alarmed that there was power present in the whole wall.
Using a wandering lead connected to the MET on a TNCS installation with a multi-meter I found between 15 and 20 volts AC when I touched the foil.
This voltage switches off when the relevant MCB is switched off. The RCD does not trip. Insulation tests OK better than 399 Mohm. Earth is good.
Is this a false reading or a fault in the process of developing?
Any ideas?
