Hi,
In my house I need to change an old consumer unit [rewire fuse type] to a new split load board with spare ways for the new kitchen to be installed by a company. They requested this to be carried out before they will start work.
I am not a domestic electrician work mainly industrial for my job but have changed couple boards before for friends/family. Am fully qualified electrician time served apprenticeship with 17th edition and all but not part P registered as only really work on industrial side of things for my job. So am fully qualified to change the unit to a new type, and complete all the necessary testing needed.
My question was the kitchen company want the new board fitted and also a certificate left along side the board. What certification would I need to provide them with? Does this mean I cannot do the work as I cannot certify it at the end as I have not got part P certification?
Thanks
