17th edition bathroom lighting regs

Hi can someone put me straight on what sort of lighting you are allowed above a shower cubicle(shower screen does not go right upto the ceiling) :D in a domestic property above 2.25m,has it got to be a 12v light or are you allowed a 230 v ip44 rated light,as i have just been picked up on it by a niceic inspector,Thanks

in zone 0 ipx7
(ii)
in zones 1 and 2 ipx4
