Socket spurs

Hi,

I'm training to be a spark and want to put some of my practical work to use at home. i want to add a socket in my living room and have found a suitable socket to spur from. I was just wondering if there was a limit to the length of cable between the existing and new socket?

well that all depends on the volt drop but if you are talking about 10 to 15m then not really a problem, i've seen spurs further away than that.
Also i would pearsonaly ensure that it is within the 50 square merers of the ring
