I'm trying to wire a power shower off an existing 3A spur powering an extractor fan. I've run a 1mm2 twin cable from the shower to the fan itself and a separate earth back to the pull switch that operates the fan.

The problem is that the shower is 'live' before the switch is pulled and I want the shower to come on when the fan turns on. The fan also has the overrun feature, continuing to run for 5 minutes after the pull switch is turned off. As such, it has the three core cabling from the pull switch to the fan itself, while the fused spur to the pull swith is in twin and earth.

Apart from uping the fuse rating to 5A, how can I go about rectifying this problem?
