Socket Sinkers do they work?

Recently i have been told about a tool which "sinks" the sockets during 1st fix,
I've seen these things and they appear to fit on the end of your drill, do these work, and are they worth the investment?

Yes they do i've been using them for 6 years now, we do quite a bit of house bashing and i would always recomend them :)
