Hi - I wonder if somebody would be kind enough to advise me? I have a hob connected to an existing dedicated circuit which is protected by a 38A trip. I want to replace it with a new hob and electric oven. The kitchen company have suggested I need dedicated circuits for each, but I am confident that the same feed can supply both units without presenting an overload issue; (the whole configuration is for ocassional use). The oven max current draw is 13A, so I guess I could could connect to the 32A ring via a 13A standard socket, but I don't really want to stress the ring (which accommodates, kettle, fridge, toaster etc), when I have a dedicated 38A circuit for cooking appliances. So my question is, do the Regulations prevent me from connecting these two appliances to the existing single (38A) feed from the Consumer Unit? (Max hob current draw is 35A, but in reality I would never use more than 2 rings anyhow).

Thanks so much in advance for any counsel!

Peter
