Has anyone tried these conical hole cutters they cut out roughly a 3 inch hole and you can drop the cut out bit back in to seal it? Regards Jimbo

i think i remember seeing them, were they the ones for cutting access holes into floor boards? as you say you can put the cut piece back in, i thought that they would not be very practical in my opinion.

Use them all the time, in fact 4 today to loop cable through joists, at the appropriate distances I hasten to add. Proble m is you don't know you need them until you come to the point when you have to, if that makes sense. They work out at about £4 each so unless you strip back all the carpets and see if you need them prior to giving your estimate to your customer, you have to take it on the chin or make your money up elsewhere. hope this helps. 8O
