has anyone got any information on spanish wiring? because a lot of the guys in spain, ie spanish elects well what i have seen is very poor.i bought a house in almeria spain, and the electrcian there who was doing my house was not that good. i went through 5 before i found one that was good enough. i wanted to do it my self but i had contracts back home to finish. and i did not have the time, plus it was cheaper to use local workmen but being a spark now for over33 years i am amazed they get awqy with so much poor work i got a test cert with mine and when i asked him about it, he said your certs are diffrent than ours. you are not quailfied to work in spain. which is a laugh they do ,do things diffrent but i am sure i could pick it up i wanted some drawings , but atlas they were in spanish, and mine is not good enough yet. but there must be some information for english sparks ?

Hi Rouman, Can't offer much direct help but can sympathise with the quality. I had a new build house and 2 sockets didn't work in the kitchen. The builders sent Manuel around who after pulling off half the inspection covers in the house called his mate. Eventually the said it was working. A few days later whilst using both washing machine and dishwasher the overload tripped. Restoring it only tripped agin a minute later. Investigated found they had simply fed the offending socket by spurring of one adjacent. Further investigation found the offending circuit wired to a breaker but not connected to the bus (their bus is not solid but flexible conductor). wired it in and bingo all OK.
I think as long as you can push 3 wires down a conduit you're qualified in Spain

You´ll find in Spain that it is all plastic flexible pipe and connector blocks. It´s all radials and no bonding to speak of other than (literally) wrapping the earth wire around the water pipe 2 or 3 times.
In my 1st place in Spain (Gandia) the cooker kept blowing. When i checked it, the neutral was connected to the earth & vice versa!!!
Iberdrola know nothing as well and i am sure the test certificates are just to charge some money to people.
