After serving my time as a general engineer( mechanical) many years since my role has mutated into a multi skilled animal. I felt more than a little uncomfortable with my exposure to electrical tasks without relavent qualifications...I decided to take the bull by the horns and did some serious study and passed what must have been the last of the 16th edition regs course... i also embarked on the dredded 2391 along with many electricians but had problems with the certification aspect of the examination.... something very new to me . I feel continuing with electrical qualifications to support my day to day activities a real must, unfortunately this is not a view shared by my current employer, so im left to plan and fund my own cross training, which i am happy to do as the future may not always be with said employer. I have purchased a study pack to re go over the 2391 and plan , with,some support from a friend who has a registered electrical company, to retake the exam and continue with my quest for knowledge and certification. Any advice would be real good... cheers
