PART P NOTIFICATION

Hi

I am in the process of setting up my own electrical contracting business and i was wondering how you get round notifying work for Part P whilst the application goes through for a competent persons scheme.

Obviuously i could notify building control directly however the cost of this is astronomical.

Hi Paul
I was just in the nick of time with my 2 examples of work as they were just before the part P deadline but my assessment was 10 months into Part P the only way to comply is to get a building control notice for your 2 examples of work but I have to say I was never questioned about having a building control notice I would advise you to speak to the NICEIC in person and see what they say rather than read through all the criteria they are very supportive to their members and prospective members
