The new company i work for wants me to fail houses that the bathroom lights are not on an rcd but i dont agree as its only since 17th came in this was true the regs dont get backdated to older homes do they i have been putting on the test sheets dont meet the regulations which is a 4

You are correct, 99% of houses would fail using that method.

Yes you are right, I only comment on a bathroom light if it isnt IP rated, which I class as a code 2. As long as it was fitted to the current regs at the time and is IP rated then its a code 4.
