Hi all, this is my first post so go easy on me lol
I have been asked to carry out a cu upgrade for an old lady, I have gone round today to inspect it and price the job up. Its a fuse board with re-wireble fuses, 6 circuits, tested the ze which was 0.23 ohms so all seemed ok. That was until I noticed there was no cpc on either the upstairs and downstairs lighting circuits. I mentioned to the old lady that the best option would be a rewire of the circuits but like most pensioners she cant afford it. What would be the best action?

Got a link here for you to read its long winded but you need to know where you stand cos you are responsible for the safety of the lighting once you change the c.u.

Three options for you

1) run in a single cpc to the lighting (a pain in the backside as you'll need to follow the existing circuit route as much as possible)

2) Re-wire circuit in its entirety

3) change the cu & affix lable stating no cpc on lighting circuits & note on EIC.
