Crazy NICEIC admin charges

Have recently changed our business to a limited company, this therefore involved ringing the NICEIC to let them update their records, this involved a "transfer of enrollment" there were no changes to Q.S or P.D.H or trading address or even contact details, just a simple company name change. for this service we have been charged £92.00 + VAT. I have recently had my annual visit by my area engineer, he told me it was a 2 minute job for somebody and should not cost this amount of money. I didnt even get a new enrollment certificate!
Considering this is a non profit making organisation they must have some mighty overheads!

its so simple tell niceic to get lost and change to some one else.All niceic are intrested in is MONEY i changed and saved a load of money

they are not neccesarily 'non profit making'

the Approved Contractor scheme is part of the 'charitable staus' NICEIC

however the Domestic Installer scheme was set up under a seperate arm of the company - which does NOT have charitable status and is a fully fledged money making enterprise

for anyone who did the Domestic Installer VRQ with EAl (which is most people who have this qual), the course was designed in conjunction with......you guessed it......NICEIC

so part of the registration fee to EAL FOR EVERY STUDENT goes accross to NICEIC

I have been involved with NICEIC's gas scheme for a while, and when you consider they run their own competent persons schemes for all the 'renewables' as well........lets just say no-one is going hungry at NICEIC!!!
