Hello folks
My gaffer has offered me a Contracts Managers position. It will involve a 3 month trial period after which if things go well we will be disscusing contract issues salary, incentives and all that gubbings. Just looking for some pointers to what a Contracts Manager should be looking for in the wage department.

Depends on how technical you need to be, the complexity of the rojects, and in which part of the country.
Possibly anywhere from £25-£40k.
My chief projects engineer gets close to the top end. He has to take on responsibility for the design of the hardware (mostly VSD systems), the manufacturing of it in our works, testing, installation, cabling, final commissioning. And all the considerable burden of documentation. Specifications, drawings, FATs, SATs, O&M manuals etc.
And commercial responsibility for remaining in budget, ensuring that anything requested but not in the original offer is documented and extra costs agreed prior to undertakng the work...
I'm sure you get the drift.
