Electric Shower

Hello, we seem to be having a problem with our shower. When we pull the cord, nothing happens - the red light doesn't come on and no water comes out when we turn the shower dial. Any ideas on what this might be? Your help will be appreciated! :)

Thanks for your reply. It seems to be working now - the light is on but is not lit fully but the shower works. Could this be a loose connection of some kind? I ain't good with electrics so am reluctant to take off the shower casing - I'm guessing this is where the fuse would be? Our fuse box under the stairs in fine.

Thanks again. The shower finally died on Saturday! We had an electrician to look at it and it's the cable that runs from the loft into the 'pull string box'. Fingers crossed it should be fixed today!
