NICEIC view on pme for outside hot tub

Hi everybody I'm new to the forum and hope somebody can help me with a small dilema concerning PME.
I'm putting in a supply to a 32A commando socket located on an outside wall, about 30M from cu, to be used for a hot tub, the supply to the house is PME, the people supplying the tub said it has exposed conductive parts (class 1).
Now I know there's a general conflict of opinions with PME outside, but I'm using the job as one of my assessments for my niceic domestic installer and would like to know if anybody knows the NICEIC's view on this.
Do they reccomend converting to TT, leaving as PME but installing an electrode near to the socket as well, or simply leaving as PME.

:cool:leave you supply alone , outside sockets need protection via a 30 ma rcd you can branch off a ring final circuit for this

Sorry forgot to mention the cu is all 30mA protected, and the people supplying the tub requested a dedicated circuit. It's just the PME I'm concerned with. I'm swaying towards putting in an electrode and not using the PME earth but don't want to be pulled up on it by NICEIC when I have my assesment if they don't agree with that method.

:cool: did you know your earth rod as to be a certain distance from any electrical supply; i think its 3meters but check your regs book ;if you have a spare mcb run a 4mm radial circiut;your earth shouldnt be a problem

Hi i was told by an NIC inspector that u should always avoid useing an out side supply as one of your jobs as it can open a can of worms.

Split the meter tails run a 6 or 10mm submain from 40amp switch fuse to external cu with rcbo's & TT it, put in a 4mm dedicated circuit for hot tub.

Simple & the question you'll be asked by assessor will be "why have you TT'd it & not exproted the pme?"

Answer..outside equipotential zone + extraneous conductive parts on tub + you'd have to get permission from supplier to export the pme anyway.
