Hello, I'm new to the forum and am looking for advice. After 20 years as working as an electrician for various companies I have decided to work for myself . I'm jib approved and have my 2391 .How do i stand with testing and certifying my own work ? Is a photocopy of the test sheets in bs 7671 sufficient for certification ? The work I aim to carry out is mainly commercial / industrial so i'm assuminig part p doesn't relate to this .

A BS 7671 copy is absolutely OK and as you say industrial and commercial do not come under the dreaded Part P. The only problem you may come up against is someone requesting if you are registered with a body (NICEIC ETC) but you have no legal reason to do so. Best of luck with your venture, test and inspect in those fields can be very interesting. Regards Jim
