Sitting Electrical Exams as an External Candidate

The question we get asked most frequently at ElectaCourse.com is "where can I sit my electrical exams?".

It's a difficult question to answer because, although most exam centres can quite easily accept external candidates, most do not wish to do so as they would much prefer the candidate to purchase their course before booking them in for the exam.

This is a rather old fashioned attitude and there is a bit of 'cutting off your nose to spite your face' involved as the exam centre makes a profit on all exam bookings anyway, whether they sold a course to the candidate or not.

Thankfully, more and more exam centres are realising that they can no longer ignore candidates who have studied at home, or already have the knowledge to pass a particular exam, and more and more centres are starting to accept external candidates to sit exams at their centres.

ElectaCourse have been keen to tackle this problem for quite some time and have considered opening their own approved examination centre.
