PAT TESTING>
Hi all.
just wanted to know what test fee's are charged by other engineers.
eg... for 5 appliances ?

Hi I think you have to have a minimum call out, I would suggest £40 ish this would include up to 5 items. After that i do it on quantity, if its a small job I would look at £4 an item if its a thousand drop down to £3, its hard to give an exact figure you have to sort of look at how long your going to be there and fix you day work price ie how much you want to go home with after a days work. at the mo, i charge £50 for 5 items and then £5 per item, as i work for estate agents, there
are normally only 5 to 6 appliances anyway, depending on where the call is.
iam hoping the legislation for PAT testing is mandatory amoungst rental property soon.
