Sub-contractor rates
I'm hoping to find work as an electrical installer and inspector for small industry and manufacturing businesses in my county. I have years of experience in different industries, NVQ4, 17th edition and 2391. My intention is to be self employed and my customers are reputable electrical companies who may refer my services for their manufacturing clients. Does anybody know what a fair hourly rate is

Re: Sub-contractor rates
£16 per hour, is that self employed?
Your bonkers mate, want minimum £25 plus travel and mileage
if you start at 16 & negotiate you may as well go work in macDs

Re: Sub-contractor rates
£25/hr is fine if your quoting for your own work
but in these times with the credit crunch
it's better not to be to greedy
i know i firm in newark notts that still pay
there subbys less than £12/hr
with no mileage or travel
but at the end of the day its what your happy enough
working for i think
