Default help with a question please?

I am doing a test at the moment for a gas service engineer but I have an electrical diagram thrown in on one of my questions, the question states : - In the circuit diagram below, the effect of closing the switch would result in:

    a) both bulbs would light
    b) the fuse would blow
    c) only bulb B would light
    d) only bulb A would light

what do you guys think? I have attached the diagram for you to have a look at it. Thanks

    Hi

The answer would be B - The fuse would blow.

If you follow the flow of electricity after closing the switch you will see the fist branch in the cable creates a direct connection with Neutral hence the fuse would blow.

Hope that is clear enough for you.

    Thanks John,

Obviously being a plumber/gas engineer that's not really my field but it does make sense when looking at the diagram.

    cheers mate!
