    Default Required regulations/codes

Good day, i have arrived in the u.k. ( wantage, oxfordshire ),from south africa where i have been operating my own business since 1980.
I concentrated on up market, new builds, and am a registered installation electrician. I am now completing studies of bs 7671:2008,
& c&g 2391, before doing the necessary exams.i am now unsure if i am actually studying the correct regs.
Can those in the know please advise.
    Thanks & regards,
    ray clarke.

    Hi there

BS7671:2008 is the latest edition of the wiring regulations and C&G 2391 is the Electrical Inspection and Testing course. Out of interest what makes you think these are the wrong Regs. Also there are you looking at being self employed or working for someone? If you are looking at becoming self employed and working on deomestic installations then you will probably have to register with a Part P scheme provider, in which case there may be some more exams / tests you need to take.
