SDS Drill Recommendations
I'm a recently qualified domestic sparky (currently seeking work as an electrician's mate in Leeds / West Yorks in hope of building up my experience - please send me a private message if this is of interest) and I need to purchase my first SDS hammer drill as soon as possible. I was not thinking of going cordless as I need it to be powerful and versatile plus don't want to be buying 2 or 3 sets of batteries.
I'd greatly appreciate any and all views on what products I should and should not be looking at and hope that you'll be good enough to share some of your collective experiences.
Cheers,
Mark

Re: SDS Drill Recommendations
i have used bosch gbh drills for years they are bullet proof and do the job, make sure you go for 110volt if you are likly to work on sites.
i have recently tried a dewalt but didnt think much of it, this got stollen then i went for the makita. i find this one a good drill but kicks out a lot of air into your face( this leeds to dust in eyes)
pay the extra for rota stop so you can do chasing with it. well worth an extra £20

Re: SDS Drill Recommendations
Hi there,
I have a Bosch GBH portable 24v and this is up for some serious drilling. It comes with two batteries and charger .As already said, 115v with transformer a "must" on site plus yellow extension lead.
Never buy cheap power or hand tools although you can get some very good gear on Ebay.
Hope you find work . Good luck. Barry

Re: SDS Drill Recommendations
Prob a bit late ,However the best i think for sparkys re site work is the Bosh GBH 36V excellent and no need to run a transformer and lead 30 meters across the site The best rottary stop cordless so far ,worth spending money on
