    Smile Do you need to bond water when it's an incoming plastic pipe and the rest is copper

    Can any one tell me if I need to bond the water service when it's an incoming plastic pipe and the rest is copper thanks

    No you don't need to main bond if it's plastic coming in. I can find the relevent regs if you need it.

    Holy crap!

    Yes you do, you can only dismiss bonding if both incoming and in property pipework is plastic.

    I ask you, what would happen should you be leaning on your class 1 microwave and turning a tap on and there is a live conductor touching any part of the internal plumbing to a property which has not been connected to earth?

    this is the correct advice. you will need to bond water service.

    even if plastic comming in to copper you have to bond, and if any of the pipework reverts to plastic, then back to copper then this must also be bonded

    YES you need to bond it! wow alchemist your a danger! refer to page 29 of the on site guide sect 4.4 (red one) not sure if its same page in new green one.
