17th Edition Amendments - More Money for the IET !

OK, we all know wiring regulations are constantly changing as new technologies emerge etc. but why on earth have the IET had to produce a completely new publication for the 17th Edition Amendment 1 ??

I haven't long purchased the 17th Edition IEE regs and now I have to spend another 80 quid on the same book but with just a few amendments!!

Surely the amendments could have been published as a softback A4 booklet?

Anyone else feeling as ripped off as I am?
