meter tails
Firstly, just like to say hi to everyone.
I'm new to this forum lark, so excuse any wrong doings.
As my profile says "I'm new to the electrical arena" and haven't had chance to practice my skills yet.
just wanted to ask about meter tails. I'm aware they come in different sizes but how do determine what size to use, wether you're connecting to an 80A or 100A main switch CS unit.
The tails being used at present are 16mm for an 80A switch but we want to upgrade to a 100A switch, so will i need to replace the tails with 25mm?
many thanks

Re: meter tails
the size of tail you can install depends on the size of cut out fuse. 60 fuse and you can install 16mm, anything larger you should install 25mm. i always install 25mm as standard.
