domestic electrician course
Hi all i am new to the forum, and i am starting a domestic electricians course. It includes the part p and bs7671 rules and regs i am not initially going to be looking for a job in the industry,it is just that i do a lot of diy projects around the area in which i live. mostly joinery work and a bit of plumbing.I decided to get a qualification in electrics as more of the jobs i do the clients seem to want lighting put in (do a lot of ceilings) spot lights i dont have a problem with but i dont want to progress into adding in extra sockets & stuff,When i am not qualified and things could obviously go wrong.
Anyway as not to bore you all. What i really wanted to know was reading all about the regs & stuff how intense are the tests as i can understand what i am reading but i dont seem to be absorbin it in.most of the course is self taught at home i will be going to a centre for practical work when i progress a bit further. Any advice off you pro's would be very helpfull.the course i am doing is with olci.

Re: domestic electrician course
Best advice I can give is if you are doing a Home study course then you need to study at home. There are good books you can buy, Scaddans books are my personal choice they helped me a lot when I was studying, main thin is learn as much as you can before your practicals, it will help you do better there. Best of luck to you!
