Hi all,
I left the navy about 2 and half yrs ago after serving just under 8 yrs. I decided to go into the electrician traded.
I did my 16th edition and domestic electrical installation courses both city and guilds also did my inspection and testing,
passed my practical but failed my theory. I'm going to do the whole course again in night college for 11 wks in sept.
My question is i have done all those courses and have been working with an electrical firm now for 2 yrs and totally love it
but am not sure what i qualify as now with my experiance of 2 yrs if im still classed as a mate and am on just under £10 an hour but wasnt sure if i should be on more. i want to be classed as a qualified electrician and hopefully in the future get up to technician. i just want to know what i need to do to next to improve myself and better myself in the trade since i havnt done the usual 4 yrs apprentice course. i would appreciate your time and help. thanks again
