Have you replaced the lampholder and the flex that it connects to? if you have, check your connections from the flex into the ceilling rose, check them for tightness and whether you have connected them to the right terminals and the right way round and also check the connections from the flex to the lampholder for tightness and whether they are connected to the correct terminals in the holder .

the wires should be connected like this diagram with the live of the flex connecting to the terminal that is next to the switched live wire and the neuteral of the flex connecting to the terminal near the neuteral wires.

The supply and switch wires in this diagram are in the old colours where red is live and black is neuteral and black with a piece of red tape on or a piece of red sleeving is the switched live wire, nowadays live wires are brown neuteral wires are blue and switched live wires are brown with a piece of red tape round or a piece of red sleeving on.

    Hope this helps
