understairs clock room
Hello.
I am trying to fit an WC and sink and washing machine in the space under the stairs.
which was working fine, i can fit all the appliances fine.
until
i realised that the main electric cable running into the house, and the electrics board are, whatever why i try, within 60cm of the sink, loo and washing machine.
I intend to box the electrics in, with a lockable cupboard door for access.
but am now concerned that i still might be designing something that won't pass whatever codes it should do
Have you any suggestions as to how to make this work?
i'd appreciate your input!
thank you

Re: understairs clock room
A cloak room is not considered to be a special location.
Whilst 60cm is fairly close, there is no minimum distance in the Regulations.
However it is generally accepted that socket-outlets should be no closer than 30cm to a sink.
