New consumer unit, now oven trips
Well after the saga with the tumble dryer, its the delonghi range cooker now.
The first time it was switched on ,the rcd tripped.
Took out the elements and had them tested, both ok.
Left them disconnected, turned on cooker switch, clock was flashing, so set the clock, turned the selector, it tripped.
Then did it with selector set, thermostat turned up, switched cooker on at the wall, clock started to flash, until i pressed the button on the clock to start it and it tripped.
Stripped cooker down, checked inside the clock, to make sure there was no crud, looked at the contacts on the selector control, all looked fine.
put all back together, switched on, and tripped again with no selector set etc.
i,m wondering if there is a problem with the clock/progammer circuit board,
is there anyway of bypassing for now, only has a few wires on the back.

Re: New consumer unit, now oven trips
can i just ask is the cooker on its own circuit or are ther other things on it, im guessing you have just had a rewire or board change and your old cooker is tripping the rcd?
