Re: Where is everybody?
Thanks for the offer Jimbo. One problem I`ve got now. This customer has asked me to change the light pendant which complies with present regs, i.e. it has the fluorescent energy saving bulb. She doesn`t like them and she can`t fit a lamp shade to it either, she tried to fit ordinary bulbs but the fitting is different, of course. I think that if I fit a different bulb holder to take ordinary bulbs I will be breaking the IEE regs. Could you advice please. Also what happens if the person living in the house suffers from epylepsy, because as these energy saving lamps flicker at 50 Hz, this fact could triger a fit in these persons.
Thank you

Re: Where is everybody?
I think all of us some times have to make a decision based on what we feel and can justify. In your case I would change the light fitting straight away, if the customer is likely to suffer fits or epilepsy you are more than justified in bending the IEE rules. No Inspector is going to cause a problem over that. Regards Jimbo
