qualified.... now what???
Hi guys,
I live on the the boarder of es*** and london and am a fews weeks away from being qualfied to part P, and before i rush out to set my own business up im thinking its probably best to go out and gain experience working with someone, especially regarding fault finding.
Has any one out there been in my position and got advice??

Re: qualified.... now what???
Hi Daffers,
When you say "qualified" do you mean as an electrician that has trained as an apprentice or as a "Part P" two week course so called electrician?
I dont mean to be rude to you, it's just that in the eyes of the law you are now more qualified than an approved electrician that is not registered as "part P"
Part P is supposed to weed out "cowboy" electricians (not saying you are a cowboy) so do you see my point????
Any how, in answer to your question, yes go and get as much experiance as possible for as long a time as possible. The amount of knowledge you lean from other electricians (especially older blokes) is invaluable.
Hope you dont think I'm rude to you, and I hope you take my advice on board.
I take it that you are fully 17th Edition trained/educated??
Nik.
