Hi

I am planning to do an outdoor display again this year but i keep coming up against the same problems, the insulated wire coming from the lighting silhouettes are not damn long enough, do you have any suggestions, my house was build just after the war circa 1947, so i'm not sure it meets the new regulations, I do know though it runs off the old red and black wiring system. Is there a maximum load that a socket can take and how is this worked out.
Last year i had a IP44 box on the wall which had to be a maximum of 1.5m from the ground, which everything just about reached to, this year i want the lights to be more widespread.

Any suggestions greatfully welcome as Maplin and MK have been no help whatsoever apart from plugging their products.

Regards
Phil
