50mm Ring
Hi everyone, this is my first time on this forum and i look forwards to making a contribution.
i have a question relating to an existing factory distribution setup, a 50mm 3Ph+N ring has been installed feeding 2x100A 3ph 32way and 1x200A 3ph 16 way distribution boards, i know this circuit is grossly overloaded to begin with (as it pops its 200A fuse everyother day) but i have no idea if such a high powered ring is permissable as far as the regs go, it's obviously bad practise but whats your opinions
thanks

Re: 50mm Ring
hi i am an electrician 30+ years in the trade i have never came across a three phase ring
it sounds like what you have is a three phase supply that is not balanced properly
probably due to circuits added over the years the installation needs to be rebalanced over the three phases ie cicuits distributed equally over the phases

No honestly, it is a 3 ph ring, i also have never come accross this method of distribution i think i should be looking at redistributing properly
