Monitors failing PAT test
Hi guys,
I've been given the task of PAT testing all the electrical equipment at my workplace... have been on a course and bought a Seaward PrimeTest 100 so all good to go. Am having one problem though... every monitor I test is failing!! They're 19 inch HP1955 monitors and are no more than a year old. Anyone know of any problems with HP monitors?
Here's the results from a Class I test:
Resistance < 0.01Ohms
Insulation > 19.99M Ohms
Leakage 0.87mA (fails)
Any help would be much appreciated!!
Thanks
Adam

Re: Monitors failing PAT test
Is there a reason for testing as a class 1 we have alwaws tested as class 2 coz there are no exposed metal parts ( like the element with a iron) and that would be the reason for it failing.
If it is lotaly plastic test as class 2 then test the lead seperately as a class 1
