RCD switch trips when using tumble dryer
My tumble dryer has been running OK earlier this evening but when I came to restart it the RCD switch on my fuse board tripped. This happened everytime I reset it. The dryer has been owned and used from the same socket for a number of years. No new electrical equipment has been added to the circuit concerned and the switch does not trip when I plug in the kettle and switch it on.
Any ideas and solutions?
Thanks.

Re: RCD switch trips when using tumble dryer
I have noticed that it sometimes takes forever to dry clothes and lacks heat. Are these things repairable or is it a case of replacing the dryer?
