Light fitting not working

I have a 5 bulb chandalier light fitting which has just tripped the switch on my fuse board. Switching the trip back restores electricty to the remainder of the lights on that circuit but the chandalier still does not work. One of the candle type bulbs has blown but even replacing all 5 bulbs does not make it work. The fitting is on a dimmer switch.

Can anybody shed some light as to the problem - is it the dimmer or the light fitting and how do I fix it?

Remove the supply, test that the circuit is dead, and replace the dimmer.
Assuming you are qualified to do so, of course.
