Advice needed
Im a recently qualfied electrician and i've been asked to install a shower circuit to an existing consumer unit. The shower is 9.5kw and i have done all my calculations and will be required to use 10mm T/E and a 45A mcb. However the problem i have is that the existing CCU is made by crabtree and they don't seem to make a 45A mcb, only a 40A and 50A. So my question is does anyboby know if Crabtree make a 45A mcb (type b, 6089
???, or should i use the 50A breaker??? The board is a 17th edition split load and the cable run is about 10 meters max. Any advice is much apreciated

Re: Advice needed
41.3 amp could be drawn by a 9.5 kilowatt , a 40 amp mcb is a bit near the bone.

Re: Advice needed
you can always change your calcs to bring down the value i.e length of cable ; how is it clipped ;is it run through installion; but a 40 amp should do the job
