Running to an outhouse/garage
I'm running from the main CU to a garage next week and I've never done one in my life.
I'm ordering a garage consumer unit, RCD in it, 32A and 6A breaker etc.
My question is this...
Does anyone out there know if Im OK to run it from a spare way in the main consumer unit in the house and if so what size breaker would I need? Would a 40A be OK?
I'm running the cable about 10 meters if that helps.
Cheers all!

What did you do? I have a similar job, and not entirely sure what to do.

Re: Running to an outhouse/garage
if pme, isolate swa at outbuilding end and use rccd
if cable sheath, use sheath earth and use rccd
it TT at house you can use this overall but could have nuisance tripping
