What fuse do I use?????

Hi, please be gentle because I am a newbie here. Anyways, my problem is:
I have a smoke machine for stage use, it was bought from Germany so it has a 2 pin plug on it, I am in England so I need to use the 3 pin plug, just need to know which ampage rate fuse I would need to use on it when I change the plug. It is rated at 1000watts power, voltage is 220v/50hz, 110v/60hz, the cable that comes with the machine is 16A 250V.
Please if anyone could advise in the right direction that would be great, Many thanks

Which should be 1000w divided by230v which =4.34amps.
So use a 5 amp fuse.
