Schematic samples/guidance needed
Good day all. I've been designing and building control panels and machines for years but have never had to draw a diagram for building services. Well, now I do. Can anyone point me to pdfs, etc, that show some examples of the required conventions for this type of drawing. I have downloaded a large quantity of Merlin Gerin symbols (it's a very different world outside the control panel!), but so far I have only found one drawing example and that's a screen shot of a proprietary diagram program. BTW, I use Autocad. Thank you. Dj.
EDIT: Just downloaded trial version of SEE Electrical. Their domestic sample drawing shows wall sockets and lights all on one circuit!Last edited by Dryjoint; 27th October 2009 at 03:59 PM. Reason: new info

Re: Schematic samples/guidance needed
Hi Dryjoint,
You could download the part P of the building regulations which does have an example of some of the symbols used in a wiring diagram.
Hope this helps,
Rex
